Shivendra’s love affair with cinema began while he was a student at Doon School.
He began his career as an assistant director to hi mentor, writer-lyricist and director, Gulzar after graduating with History (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. It was on Gulzar’s suggestion that Shivendra studied film direction and script-writing at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). After graduating from FTII, Shivendra launched his career as a producer-director under his own banner – Dungarpur Films. There has been no looking back since then.
Seven elements and influences in Shivendra’s life have combined to make him the filmmaker he is today; a deep love for bird-watching and wildlife fostered by a family of conservationists and nature lovers; a consuming passion for history; wanderlust and an unerring eye for beauty in the most likely and unlikely of places.
But cinema is an obsession.
His specialty: Lifestyle, Beauty, Children, Food, Comedy, Automotive, FX, MV, Sport.
